To the Editor:
Early in the morning on Monday, Dec. 14, one of our worst nightmares came true. We had a house fire. That night we were awoken by crackling and popping sounds that seemed to be coming from inside our walls. We immediately called 9-1-1 and quickly had the children up and outside as we watched our home fill with smoke. Within minutes there were several fire trucks on our street and multiple firefighters rushing into our home with axes, tools and hoses.
